The Cullera de Boix restaurant, located on Rambla de Catalunya, boasts a new terrace with seating for over 35 people. It is said this restaurant prepare one of the best paella in Barcelona.

Since this spring, it is already possible to eat a good paella on a terrace in the centre of Barcelona. This can be done at the Cullera de Boix restaurant, which has opened less than a year ago and incorporated a wide terrace right opposite the premises on Rambla de Catalunya.

“It is a step forward in the consolidation of this new restaurant, located next to Plaza Catalunya, and in the brand valuation of Cullera de Boix in the centre of Barcelona,” the group’s manager, Rafael Santos, who is responsible for managing the three restaurants specialising in rice dishes and paellas in the Catalan capital, said.

The terrace features tables and wooden chairs with white umbrellas that protect from excessive light at peak sun hours. The space also features planters and green plants, with a decor that takes care of all the details to create a cosy and cool environment.

“We want it to be a little oasis in the city centre,” Santos said, who notes that there are still changes that need to be made in the space to achieve an even more attractive environment for the public.

Eating the best paella in Barcelona

“It is the perfect terrace both for people working in the area, who come and have their lunch menu, and tourists, who want to enjoy a paella or quality rice dish on Plaza Catalunya, without having to stroll to the Barceloneta district,” the Cullera de Boix manager explains.

The new terrace adds up to the refurbishment of this restaurant, which was opened in the summer of 2015 and will soon incorporate other new features, such as full operation of the outdoor griddle, to be able to taste the best market produce cooked instantly in front of customers.

The Cullera de Boix – Urquinaona terrace

This outdoor space of the restaurant specialising in rice dishes and located on Rambla de Catalunya adds up to the one the group already has near Plaza Urquinaona, on Ronda de Sant Pere.

The Cullera de Boix – Urquinaona terrace is a landmark in the area, with loyal customers since the opening of the restaurant 15 years ago by the businessman, Jordi Gabarrell.
